Another disadvantage is that ad space may not always be available on your site. Adsense does allow for sponsored ads as well as traditional banner ads but these don't always fill up every inch of space available. If an advertiser doesn't have an ad slot available at a particular time, then it doesn't matter how much money you make from click-throughs because there won't be any ads running. Many advertisers choose to use other advertising methods instead of Adsense, which means that there will never be a guarantee that you'll find enough advertisers to keep your site afloat. As more advertisers begin to feel like they aren't getting enough bang for their buck with Adsense, competition becomes stiffer. In some cases, a webmaster may have been doing nothing wrong yet still lose his/her account due to violating something unknowingly. Some users might think that because Adsense is owned by Google that it must be safe but this couldn't be further from the truth. It is possible for someone to game the system by creating new sites just to advertise their own products and services through Adsense rather than promoting those of advertisers. Some people go as far as creating sites with solely pornographic content so they can try and lure people into clicking ads related to sexual enhancement pills or adult entertainment services. The real problem with this strategy is that most of the advertisers are family friendly and don't want to associate themselves with such material. When a complaint is made, it takes months before Google investigates the situation and closes down the offending site - giving fraudsters plenty of time to make off with tons of cash from innocent clickers. The Adsense TOS states that Google reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, so even if you abide by all their rules, there's still a chance your account will be closed for whatever reason - even without any explanation whatsoever. For the average person, there is little recourse. Google is not responsible for making a backup of your site, so once everything is gone, it's gone. A few weeks ago, I was shocked to discover that my Adsense account had been terminated without warning. This happened while I was away on vacation and came back to find that my entire blog had disappeared. There was no communication whatsoever from Google letting me know what had happened to my blog, so I didn't know whether to blame the hacker or my hosting company for the outage. However, since impressions differ from one another (CPC), not all publishers will qualify for payments under $10 no matter how many impressions they receive. Those who reach this threshold, however, can expect to receive a check around the middle of every month. This is why we recommend checking in with Google periodically to ensure you're generating enough impressions to meet the threshold. Remember, like all other networks, Google penalizes publishers who violate their Terms and Conditions. Whether it's invalid clicks, cookie stuffing, impression fraud, or other practices that violates Google policy; breaching these policies could result in penalties including being banned from using Adsense altogether. Publishers are responsible for tracking bad traffic sources: Another disadvantage to using Adsense is that publishers must track where ads come from in order to protect themselves against bad traffic sources such as those mentioned above.


7) Private Sites are Penalized

The major downside of this being that this means you will be earning less through Google Adsense in comparison with what could be earned through an alternative revenue stream like affiliate marketing where you earn a commission every time someone buys something after clicking through your site link on their shopping cart page at Amazon or another retailer's website etcetera


9) A Lot of Competition

Google Adsense is one of the most popular ways to make money from your website. However, there is a lot of competition out there. You need to have a high-traffic website in order to make good money from Adsense. Additionally, you need to carefully choose where you place your ads. If you don't, you may end up with low-quality ads that don't generate much revenue. Many Users Don't Get Paid: Some people say they use Adsense but haven't received any payments yet. When this happens, it's usually because they're not getting enough clicks on their ads. In order to get paid, you'll need at least $100 worth of clicks per month and at least 30 days before you can request payment. That means if you start late in the month, or if you only receive 5 clicks on your ads for the entire day, then you won't be able to request payment until next month. All Payments are Final: With some programs like Amazon Associates or Etsy affiliates, you can earn a commission as long as items are purchased within 60 days of when they were linked to Amazon or Etsy respectively. With Adsense, all payments are final once they've been requested. That means even if an ad sells after the 60 day window has passed since being posted by an affiliate but before someone clicked on it and then buys an item after clicking through on that link - which would result in an affiliate receiving commission - with Adsense no commission will be made. It Doesn't Offer Clicks Outside of Your Country: If you live outside the United States, you'll notice that none of the Adsense offers come from countries other than the US. That's because each country has its own version of Adsense and those versions work independently from each other. 

It Won't Work on Older Sites: Older sites usually don't do well with Google Adsense due to how long pages take to load and how outdated they appear to visitors using mobile devices. It Won't Work on Websites Where You Need More Than One Page Load: Some websites load slowly or are too big so that content doesn't show up properly without multiple page loads, meaning users might leave without seeing your advertisement. It Isn't Built For Mobile Devices: Unlike some advertising companies, Google Adsense isn't built specifically for mobile devices. As a result, it's harder to find the right placement for advertisements on these smaller screens. It Requires Recurring Monthly Payments From Website Visitors: Unlike PayPal or credit card transactions, Google Adsense requires recurring monthly payments from website visitors in order to collect payment from them. If a visitor only visits your site once every three months and doesn't click on any ads during that time frame, then you still owe them money! There are other alternatives available though such as Amazon Affiliates and Etsy Affiliates who offer recurring payments on every purchase made through their links instead of just every month! Some bloggers are making very lucrative careers solely from Adsense. However, it’s important to remember that Google makes the majority of its profits from Adsense, and as a result they sometimes go back on their word or change policies.


10) Unrelated Ads on a Page

They may bring traffic to your site which would not otherwise have come; they may bring in revenue because the advertiser pays per click or impression; they could provide exposure for advertisers who otherwise wouldn't reach their target audience; and they offer increased competition which forces companies to offer better deals and services.
