The Top 5 Ancient Remedies for Flawless Skin

It’s no secret that modern life and environmental conditions can do bad things to your skin. Pollution, cigarettes, excessive sun exposure, and stress all take their toll on the way our skin looks and feels. Ancient remedies may be just what you need to give your skin some of the benefits it had in its youth. Check out these top 5 ancient remedies for flawless skin now!

Egg White Mask

Egg whites are a natural source of protein and also contain enzymes that can help to tighten and tone the skin. To make an egg white mask, simply whisk together two egg whites and apply to the face. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. For best results, use this mask once a week. You should see improvements in your skin’s texture after about three weeks. Banana Mask: Bananas are full of antioxidant-rich vitamins that promote healthy cell growth. Slice up one banana and mash it into a paste. Apply to your clean, dry face, avoiding contact with eyes or lips. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off with cool water. Use this mask twice a week for the best results. Honey Mask: Honey is full of antioxidants, which fight free radicals and soothe inflammation in your skin. Take two tablespoons of honey and mix with enough lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar) to create a thin paste. Apply evenly over face and let sit for 10-15 minutes before washing off with warm water. Grapefruit Juice Mask: Grapefruit juice is high in vitamin C, which helps brighten skin by stimulating new collagen production. Cut half a grapefruit into slices, squeeze out the juice from each slice, then mix with enough plain yogurt (or oatmeal) to create a thin paste. Apply evenly over face and let sit for 10-15 minutes before washing off with warm water. Rose Petal Mask: Rose petals have natural astringent properties that will reduce excess oil and tighten pores without drying out your skin. Simply soak a handful of fresh rose petals in boiling water until they turn pink, then strain them out. Add some milk to the strained liquid and stir until you get a smooth paste. Apply to your clean, dry face, avoiding contact with eyes or lips. Let it set for 20 minutes before rinsing off with cold water . Use this mask once a week for best results. Papaya Mask: Papaya contains an enzyme called papain, which breaks down proteins to help remove dead cells and prevent breakouts. Peel and cut one papaya into chunks. Blend the chunks until they become liquefied. Once blended, add enough honey (or olive oil) to create a thin paste. Apply evenly over face and let sit for 10-15 minutes before washing off with warm water . Use this mask once a week for best results.

I'm sure we all want flawless skin - don't we? I thought it would be helpful to provide my top five favorite ancient remedies for flawless skin - because who doesn't want that? It's really quite simple too! All you need is just a few ingredients, such as eggs, bananas, honey, grapefruit juice, and more. Here's what to do:

Start by whisking together two eggs. After letting it sit for fifteen minutes (give or take), remove the mixture with a damp towel and gently scrub away any remaining residue with your fingers. Next step is bananas! Mash one banana into a paste using either fork or spoon; then allow it to rest on your face for fifteen minutes (avoiding contact with eyes). Follow up next with adding two tablespoons of honey mixed with enough lemon juice/apple cider vinegar until reaching desired consistency and applying evenly over face for ten-fifteen minutes before final step of rinsing off in warm water! This mask works well for every skin type and it even smells great! If this isn't enough, there are still four other masks to try.

Next up is grapefruit juice. The health benefits of this fruit aren't very well known, but the ones that are know how to keep the skin youthful and glowing. Just cut a fresh grapefruit in half, extract the juice from each piece, then combine with plain yogurt (or oatmeal) to create a paste-like substance. Apply the mask evenly over face for ten-fifteen minutes before final step of rinsing off in warm water.

Avocado Mask

Mash up an avocado and spread it on your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Avocados are packed with healthy fats that help to hydrate and nourish your skin. Plus, the green color of this mask will help to even out your skin tone. Lemon-Lime Juice: Mix together 1 tablespoon each of lemon juice and lime juice in a small bowl. Apply to your skin in circular motions, being careful not to get any near your eyes or mouth (citrus can irritate these areas). Chia Seeds: Grind 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in a coffee grinder or food processor until they form a fine powder. Combine with 3 tablespoons of coconut oil or honey and mix well until combined. Spread over your face like you would with a moisturizer and let sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. The oils in the chia seeds are said to improve elasticity while honey is said to make it easier for cell turnover, which is key when looking for smoother skin. Honey & Cinnamon Mask: Whisk together one tablespoon of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Slowly add in one more teaspoon at a time until the mixture becomes runny enough to be applied to your skin. Gently massage into your skin for 10 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water. Honey contains antioxidants that fight wrinkles and dark spots while cinnamon is great for circulation - both essential ingredients for fighting acne scars and enlarged pores! Ground Oats Mask: Combine 1/4 cup ground oats, 1 teaspoon brown sugar, and 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice in a bowl. Add boiling water as needed so the mixture becomes soupy enough to be applied as a mask onto your face without dripping down into your eyes or mouth. Cover your face with a towel for 15 minutes, then wash off using cool water. If you have sensitive skin, try leaving the mask on for only five minutes instead of fifteen. Brown sugar helps exfoliate your skin while lemons tighten and brighten your complexion. For a truly relaxing experience, why not incorporate aromatherapy? Light some scented candles, play soft music, sip some tea...the whole thing should last about 30 minutes. You'll come out feeling relaxed but refreshed and ready to take on the day! Stress has been proven to contribute to many different health issues including increased heart rate, weight gain, skin conditions, depression and chronic illnesses. So we've found a few stress relieving activities that we think you might enjoy if you're looking for a little zen in your life. Take our quiz below to find out what type of person you are according to Eastern medicine:

Pretend there's someone standing next to you who is bothering you. Now say Excuse me. Why do people tend not to want things from others?

A) To feel less anxious

B) To increase self-esteem

C) To appear generous

Tomato Mask

One of the best ancient remedies for flawless skin is the tomato mask. Tomatoes are packed with antioxidants and nutrients that are essential for healthy skin. To make a tomato mask, simply mash up a few ripe tomatoes and apply them to your face. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. You can do this mask once a week for best results. Keep in mind, however, that you should never put any products containing acidic fruits on your skin right after waxing or shaving. The acidity may cause irritation, which will only lead to dry patches. Instead, wait at least an hour before applying anything acidic onto your skin as an alternative remedy for flawless skin. For those who have oily skin, you might find apple cider vinegar to be beneficial as well. Apple cider vinegar naturally balances out oil production, while also being gentle enough for sensitive skin types. In order to make a recipe using apple cider vinegar, take one cup of filtered water and mix in two tablespoons of raw honey. Next add three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and stir until all ingredients are fully combined. Apply the concoction directly onto your face (or all over if desired) leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water again. You can use this mixture twice a day for about two weeks to see great improvements. Finally, we cannot forget about coconut oil! Not only does coconut oil moisturize skin, but it's antibacterial properties help treat acne breakouts and blemishes. Simply massage coconut oil into the problem areas of your face every night before bedtime and wake up with beautifully soft skin in the morning! Coconut oil not only helps prevent wrinkles and premature aging, but can even slow down the signs of aging by stimulating collagen production. It’s important to know that coconut oil melts when applied to the skin so try keeping it close to room temperature before applying it. And lastly, grapefruit seed extract is another fantastic way to achieve radiant skin without harsh chemicals. All you need is 10 drops of grapefruit seed extract and 10 drops of water mixed together in a small bowl. Place the solution into a clean spray bottle and shake vigorously until blended together. After spraying this formula on your face, wash off any excess residue with cool water after 10 minutes. Again, this product should not be used within 24 hours of hair removal due to the citric acid content. Grapefruit seed extract has been found to contain natural antimicrobial properties which makes it perfect for treating conditions such as acne and rosacea. Furthermore, grapefruit seed extract contains vitamin C and bioflavonoids which promote healing among other benefits. And finally, tea tree oil is my favorite alternative remedy for flawless skin because of its versatile uses - whether it's preventing a breakout or minimizing redness from sunburn! Tea tree oil has been known to work wonders against bacterial infections, inflammation, itching and pain relief among other things - making it an all around miracle worker!

Milk and Honey Mask

This mask is said to be helpful in fading scars and blemishes, evening out skin tone, and deeply moisturizing the skin. To make this mask, you will need: 1/4 cup raw honey, 1/4 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon turmeric powder. Simply mix all the ingredients together and apply to your face. Leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Mixing a tablespoon of coconut oil into the mask will make it more effective at getting rid of blackheads and clearing up acne. Yogurt Mask: It's great for detoxifying, exfoliating dead skin cells, smoothing fine lines, and lightening acne marks. Make sure to use plain yogurt - not flavored! Add some lemon juice to make it even better for your skin. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Toner: It helps reduce inflammation, clear clogged pores, soothe irritated skin and remove impurities from the pores. You can find ACV just about anywhere these days! Egg White Mask: The egg whites help tighten the pores and get rid of any dirt or debris that might have built up in them over time. Avocado + Honey Mask: Both avocados and honey are full of vitamins that help keep your skin looking healthy while providing deep hydration. They also contain essential fatty acids that prevent dryness and cracking, which often occurs during winter months. Applying avocado masks on a regular basis will also reduce redness caused by rosacea as well as diminish age spots and wrinkles.

In conclusion, there are many natural remedies for beautiful skin other than expensive store-bought products. Be kind to your body by using safe methods to cleanse and care for your skin! These recipes have been used for centuries and have no adverse side effects like chemicals do. Get glowing skin without spending a fortune, naturally! Masks made with eggs, milk, and honey are great for achieving a smooth complexion free of pesky breakouts.

To combat dullness, add some lemon juice to your routine!

Apple cider vinegar toner is perfect for removing excess oil and hydrating skin. If you're looking for something gentler on sensitive skin try making an avocado and honey mask instead. It doesn't matter what your skin type, adding an egg white mask to your routine once a week should produce positive results. One last thing: don't forget to wash your makeup brushes regularly! Dirt and bacteria accumulate quickly on the bristles and rubbing that against your skin every day can lead to irritation.

Rose Water

1. Rose water has been used for centuries in the beauty industry and its benefits are numerous.

2. Rose water can be used as a facial toner, astringent, and makeup remover. It can also help to soothe irritated skin and reduce redness.

3. To make your own rose water, simply simmer rose petals in water for about 10 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool before straining the petals out.

Massage this onto your skin and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Alternatively, you can mix together one tablespoon of coconut oil with five drops of chamomile essential oil. Rub this into your dry skin before showering and then rinse off afterwards. If you have more time, prepare a DIY facial scrub that is made from natural ingredients such as honey, oatmeal and yogurt by mixing these together in equal parts. Apply the scrub to your face and gently massage it in before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Next try exfoliating your skin using brown sugar mixed with olive oil which will gently slough away dead cells. Finally, apply sunscreen all over any exposed areas of skin such as your neck, chest, hands and feet before going outside to prevent wrinkles from forming prematurely!

6. You may also want to consider adding a few drops of rose water to your bath since it has relaxing properties that are perfect for winding down at night. A cup of freshly squeezed orange juice is a great alternative if you don’t like baths, but remember not to eat oranges during pregnancy because they contain high levels of acidity which could lead to complications during labor! Be sure to do some research first though. Chamomile tea:1. Chamomile tea has long been known for its soothing properties and can be drunk either hot or cold depending on your preference.2. Lactic Acid:4. Lactic acid is the alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) found in sour milk and cheese, and can work wonders for your skin.5. The best way to reap the benefits of lactic acid for your skin is to purchase a product containing it as an ingredient.6. This can be applied to your skin once every day before bed to encourage collagen production and fight against wrinkles and fine lines.7. You should also include plenty of water in your diet, avoid eating too much sugar and drink lots of fluids in order to maintain healthy-looking skin naturally without making any drastic changes to your routine!
