More marriages are recommended for a nation where it is already customary, so in a society where polygamy is
already customary and there is practically no impediment to this practice, simply declaring polygamy to be a must for men.
A significant number could take this step. And thus all the benefits which the Shari'ah seeks to obtain from this command and to make polygamy obligatory to save the Muslim society from the destruction and ruin from which the Shari'ah seeks to be made obligatory.
Need of Wisdom andBut remember ... in a society where the practice of polygamy is practically viewed with a crooked eye and if a person whose first wife is obedient and submissive, he also has children with his wife.
What good would it be for a person whose wife is supposedly devoid of all or some of the above mentioned attributes to make his life bitter if he intends to remarry only for the sake of Shariah? In order to prevent such a person from having this second marriage, not only the first wife is instructed to be patient, but in case of being unmarried, he also gave some taunts and threats.
This move is strongly discouraged by every section of society, from the government to the few who have already been mentioned. Everybody thinks it's too stupid and doesn't like to think about it at all, except for some other weird and weird kind of people like that. As a result, there are some catastrophes that are a necessary consequence of rebellion against nature.
